The topic of sanctions is gaining increasing importance these days, and we are pleased that DELTA legal’s partner Michal Zahradník, together with our attorney Martin Jonek, contributed to the international publication Sanctions 2026, published by Global Legal Group as part of the International Comparative Legal Guides series. In this issue, they prepared a chapter dedicated to the Czech Republic, explaining how the legal framework for international sanctions operates in our country.
The Sanctions 2026 publication is intended for the professional public, companies and lawyers working in the areas of compliance, regulation or international trade. The Czech chapter provides an overview of how the Czech Republic implements the UN and EU sanctions regimes, the role of the Financial Analytical Office, and the changes introduced, for example, by the creation of the national sanctions list. The text also addresses practical aspects that may be useful for companies that must comply with sanction rules in their day-to-day operations.
We are pleased to have contributed to this publication and to share our experience. We believe that the chapter will help readers better navigate the Czech sanctions system and contribute to greater legal certainty in this dynamically evolving area.
