The Archbishopric of Prague continues to expand its rental housing portfolio and has acquired another 57 apartments from FINEP in the U Šárky project in Prague 6. The portfolio managed under the XPlace platform now includes over 460 residential units and is expected to exceed 600 apartments by 2027.

DELTA legal has been a long-term legal partner of the Archbishopric in the development of rental housing. Joint projects to date include, for example, the acquisition of two apartment buildings within Nová Waltrovka, as well as a number of related development projects.

The expansion of XPlace portfolio is a key part of the Archbishopric’s broader long‑term strategy aimed at ensuring stable financing for its activities after state contributions to church operations end in 2030. The new U Šárky apartments will offer a modern standard, excellent accessibility and proximity to the nature of Divoká Šárka — something our colleagues were able to confirm firsthand during the ceremonial handover of the apartments by XPlace this week.

We are proud to support the Archbishopric in projects that deliver long‑term value and real societal benefit. We will also be happy to support other partners who are considering similar intentions and offer them a complete legal service.

XPlace is the real estate platform of the Archbishopric of Prague focused on the development and management of rental housing. By 2027, it aims to expand its portfolio to more than 600 apartments and become one of the key future revenue sources for the church.
