Do you know the Legal Advice Column on the Právní prostor portal? Our law firm joined this project over three years ago. The initiative aims to answer questions from various branches of law to registered users. During that time, we have helped dozens of users to better navigate the complexities of the law.
Questions asked through the Legal Advice Column can be answered by other registered users, but the inquirer is always provided with a “guaranteed answer”, which is prepared by a cooperating expert in the given legal field.
During our time contributing to the Legal Advice Column, we have already answered over 40 questions across various areas of law. The most common inquiries, making up about half, have been related to labour law, posed by both employees and employers. Other questions have covered topics such as family law, property relations and commercial law.
The high frequency of labour law questions can certainly be attributed to the extensive amendment to the Labour Code and related regulations in recent years. Inquirers have shown particular interest in topics such as the new regulations governing rights and obligations under DPP and DPČ contracts, home office arrangements, termination of employment, remuneration, and employee rights related to maternity and parental leave, as well as returning to work. We assume that after the so-called flexible amendment to the Labour Code is approved there will also be questions about some of the amended provisions.
